The undisputed legend of Ghanaian Reggae/dancehall music, Samini, was on the 11th of December, 2018, while on a visit to the Wala Traditional Area in Wa, Northern Ghana, enstooled as a Sub-Divisional Chief.

Decorated with an enviable track record of both international and local awards and widely recognised as the crowned king of live band performances in Ghana, the master key crooner has further officialized his royalty by being enstooled as ‘PebileeNaa’, which literally translates as ‘Chief of Small Rocks’.

This honour was bestowed upon him after making plain to the chiefs, his intentions of promoting the northern cultural talents by mentoring the youths in the area, introducing them to the limelight and thereby showing Ghana and the world, the amount of good that could come out of such underrated settlements.

The Overlord, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV after the enstoolment, presented a horse to the latest chief for a ride in his Palace as a display of tradition, honour and authority.

The newly installed chief, PebileeNaa Samini, also promised organising a homecoming very soon in the municipality so everyone in Wa and its environs should get ready to receive a massive shutdown from your latest literal rock star.
