Rising Ghanaian gospel music “newling”, Aggrey-Fynn Benjamin (AF Benjamin), in an interview has lamented on the poorly patronized and reduced interest in Ghanaian gospel music.
Also nicknamed, ‘The Chosen One’, AF Benjamin associated this canker to several factors including the lack of passion towards the music ministry, prayerlessness on the part of gospel artistes resulting in not hearing from God on which direction to take in fulfilling His call.
He also added little investment of time and resources, poor quality of production and lack of appropriate platforms for the gospel musician to thrive and grow among others.
The Great you are hitmaker further retorted saying, “The time invested in production lately is little, look at the kind of songs we produce, see a song like “Bobolebobo”.
The production is not the best. Most artists now don’t even go for waiting to hear from the Lord, they do as they wish leaving God behind.”
