“I am still paying debts from the Olamide European tour… Universal Music should be speaking to ‘Choc City’ instead of ‘M.I.'” | The Renegade Podcast 08 ft. Alex Ozone Pt. 1
Ozone joins Mazi Kaycee and Dro Ameh for the part one of this episode of The Renegade Podcast tagged ‘Exporting Afrobeats before Wizkid, Davido | The Renegade Podcast 08 ft. Alex Ozone Pt. 1’.
Alex Ozone is one of the genre’s first and biggest tour promoters who started out as Terry G’s manager. He is behind Davido’s first tour as well as facilitating, paying for tours of some of the biggest Nigerian artistes from Kizz Daniel to Olamide.
Podcast highlight:
For the first time ever, the tour promoter talks about everything – from starting out to the toughest, most challenging and even worse tours ever which he says has to be the tour with YQ as well as what he learnt on tour with Tekno. He says Tekno made him realise what a ‘rider’ is.
In Part two, He tells an interesting story of a manager who insisted of getting a business class plane ticket like his relatively new talent.
Mazi Kaycee and Dro Ameh also addressed the Harrysong situation, following the former’s social media post at the time of his depression and the eventual threat that followed after Harrysong went on to ‘report’ the situation to Tom Ateke and the Niger Delta frontiers.
This is the best episode, yet.
Listen and do drop a comment – they would be noted and discussed (if need be) in next episode:
