Having thrilled the Ghanaian populace to a decade of good music and several major hits, purveyors of Hip-hop and Hiplife genres in Ghana R2Bees, on the Cosmopolitan Mix aired on Joy FM, have made certain interesting yet controversial revelations concerning their lives.

The duo, made up of Mugeez and Paedae (a.k.a. Omar Sterling), announced another push back of their much-anticipated ‘Site 15’ album to early next year due to the influx of new single releases around this time of the year.

When questioned by a fan on why he doesn’t believe in marriage, Omar Sterling retorted with the fact that he personally assumes the institution of marriage to be a fake staging of an act of couples supposedly in love, contrary to the records of love songs produced from their camp.

They further admitted that the music business has paid off, for the 10-year period they’ve actively patronized it and hence admonished MUSIGA and GHAMRO to consistently knock on the doors of government in setting up structures to ensure that royalties are paid to musicians.

They maintained that this was needed since most of their royalties so far have been gained from having their contents aired on foreign media channels.

On grooming upcoming acts, the award-winning duo made mention of Darkovibes, La Meme Gang and Humble, as some of the few guys they are yet to officially sign up.

Upon being asked how they’ve been able to stay together for over 10 years pending the news of several groups that have made their name and fallen apart.

They further disclosed that though they grew up practically in the same house and schools, they’ve learned to quickly resolve their quarrels and patch up their differences.

This they have done all through their union and have since been throwing pieces of advice to upcoming groups on staying united for life.

Upon being asked on future collaborations with any artists of their choice globally, R2Bees had diverse choices tailored to their individual music genres with Omar Sterling, eyeing international acts like Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole.

While Mugeez surprisingly pulled off an interesting choice of wanting to feature Grammy award-winning songstress, Rihanna, on a Highlife tune.

The ‘Plantain Chips’ hitmakers have proven to be fine wines in the Ghanaian music landscape over the decade and have obviously got some extra juice for music lovers in the coming years.

A big congrats to them on their 10th year anniversary. Their union is worth emulating.
