For years on end, the mega-community of Dansoman has produced musicians that have held their own in the music space.

Mentions can be made of M3nsa, Samini and Trigmatic as some of the artists who started from the affluent community and rose to prominence in the Ghanaian music industry.

Seeking to join this successful list of artists is rapper Txe Kxd (formerly known as Benjamin The Kid), a young recording artist and music producer.

Born on 9th July, Txe Kxd has lived in Dansoman all his life during which he had his primary and Junior High School education at St Bernadette Soubirous School also in Dansoman where he gained some recognition as a dancer.

He attended Akosombo International School for his Senior High School Education and decided to pursue music right after.

Due to pressure from home, he decided to succumb to his parents’ suggestion to continue his education but he only survived a semester at Methodist University before dropping out to continue with music.

He self-taught himself to record and produce beats on his brother’s laptop and recorded his first song called One Night Freestyle when he was 18.

He started his music career in the Urban Gospel space where he gained some attention even in secular circles with songs like Shakara, Outta Your Mind(How many Times Freestyle), Poetic Justice, State Of Emergency ft. Reinny Ray and My Dealer.

He has a lot of production and writing credits to his name for mostly underground artists most notably co-writing and co-producing BRYAN THE MENSAH’s 2018 lead single “Show You The Signs”.

He’s worked at Narrow Road Records Studios which he set up with the Urban Gospel Group, S.I. Unit, Goodie Goodie Music Studios in Kasoa owned by Urban Gospel Duo Streamboiz, and Phusion Studios at Atico owned by Gospel Artist Perez Muzik.

He set up a studio, The Vibe Bottega, with his fellow artist Tonio in 2018.

He is currently the sound engineer/producer at NINAANI Group of Companies in Kanda.

He is the hand behind the sound of  many television and radio ads of giant corporate brands.

Currently working on an EP titled “From Accra with Love”, it’s Txe KvD’s desire that it will be an inspiration to everyone in his music and his life.
