DJ Cuppy Receives Heavy Backlash Over Independence Day Message

Celebrity disc jockey, DJ Cuppy got herself into a ‘big’ trouble over her independence day message on Twitter.

She wrote; ‘Today, we experience the joy and pride of being called NIGERIANS! The greatest nation. #NigeriaAt58⁠ ⁠ #NigerianIndependeceDay‘. Her message did not sit well with a lot of her followers as some of them lashed out at her for referring to Nigeria as great. Cuppy was called a privileged kid who did not totally understand the suffering of the populace.
