Court Order Restricts MultiChoice Nigeria From Increasing DSTV Subscription Rates – An Abuja Federal High Court has put a restriction on Pay television company, MultiChoice Nigeria implementing its recent spike in DStv subscription rates.
On Monday, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba granted an injunction that restricts the television company from the implementation of the new rates.
The court also restricted the company from any other conduct that is capable of altering the regulatory process of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC).
The orders were granted in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/894/2018 Federal Republic of Nigeria v. MultiChoice Nigeria Limited.
Babatunde Irukera Esq, Abimbola Ojenike, Eme David-Ojugo, Moray Adebayo, Teniola Medupin and Florence Abebe stood as representatives of the Federal Government.
