2 Reekado Banks
Ayoleyi Solomon better known by his stage name Reekado Banks has done very well for himself in his four years in the Nigerian music industry. He started off winning Headies Awards ‘Rookie of the Year’ and subsequently controversial ‘Next Rated’ awards. He has been releasing chart-topping songs since his debut, with several collaborations with local and international music arts. He has a sound debut album to his name. Reekado Banks charges a pretty high fee to perform at shows or appear at events. He currently has some endorsement deals with top brands.
3 Korede Bello
The Mavin Records star has always been a darling in the music industry since he got signed by Don Jazzy. He first gained widespread acceptance after he winked in the visual of the Mavin all-star hit ‘Dorobucci’. Korede Bello is one artist who has been able to churn out monster hits like ‘God Win’, ‘Romantic’, ‘Do Like That’ etc. The 22-year-old has several brand endorsement including being the Nigerian Police Youth Ambassador. He has done a lot of tours around Africa, Europe, and America.
4 Lil Kesh
Born Keshinro Ololade, Lil Kesh burst on the scene after he got signed by YBNL boss Olamide. The rapper won the hearts of Nigerian music love and also gained national prominence on the heels of his monster hit ‘Shoki’ in 2014. From ‘Lyrically’, to ‘Shoki’, to ‘Efejoku’, every single was a hit back to back. The 23-year-old has had the opportunity to perform on some of the big stages around the world. He has a solid debut album ‘Young And Getting It’, he is the youngest record label executive in Nigeria as the honcho of YAGI Records.
5 Dice Ailes
Number 5 on the list is Chocolate City music star Dice Ailes born Damilola Alesh. He is one of the most impressive young Nigerian artists on the block. Since his unveiling by Choc City Dice Ailes aka Mr Mi Yagi has been thrilling with his unique style of rapping and singing. His single ‘Otedola’ made a lot of buzz because of the Nigerian business mogul Femi Otedola. The 22-year-old is well recognized both in Nigeria and abroad.
