The Ara mbe crooner, Brymo Olawale has informed fans and non-fans that his show is not a place to get freebies so anybody interested in attending any of his shows must buy the ticket.
This was revealed during his session at the NEClive 2018 where he was talking about the need for an artiste to be focused on a niche and gain their own unique audience and fans that are loyal to them rather than sing for everybody like everybody and not fan a loyal fan. he said if every fan buys the ticket like they’re supposed to in the different niche they are loyal to, artiste should be able to track their growth, which according to his explanation is what he does
“If i have a concert, my management never takes tickets out to give anybody. If the show is going to flop, I want to see that happen because my favourite soft drink company never came to my house to me give me free drinks. I go to the store to buy their drinks… so they have to buy the tickets and that is me for you. When people don’t buy my ticket, i’ll know exactly where I went wrong and then I can fix it”
Apparently, this is Brymo’s way to check how well he is doing and improve on his art or the business part of the music. To him, all artistes should adopt this method of working with the niche and checking their success level, looking at the number of people they’re attracting. He might not attract millions of crowd, but if he doesn’t attract thousands today, another star won’t attract that million tomorrow.
